"I remember a human painting I was trying to get right and I was so frustrated by the proportions of the face that I burst into tears," Carmen recalls. "Wanting to learn something so bad that it brings you to tears. I laugh at the story now because I should have been a little more patient with myself. But my character traits won't let me give up on something I start." However, Carmen's resilience and determination propelled her forward, fueling her growth as an artist.
